I am so grateful to family and friends in supporting my dream of writing. To have my book published is a true dream come true. It was enough for me to see the book in print!
However, to have hand-made gourmet huckleberry confections to go with the Huckleberry Hill Series, this is beyond my imagination! I have learned that hand-made candy making techniques are becoming a lost art. When I think of Carousel Candies, in business for over 55 years and finding the best wild huckleberries to make these creations…wow! My book characters, Molly and Fern (and real life characters Francine and I) are really jazzed. Francine loves the salt water huckleberry taffy and lollipops. I crave the juicy huckleberry truffles and huckleberry bark. Nonna Frances would be proud, did you see those glorious hand-made truffles? Nonna approved for sure!
