What to bring: Blanket or outdoor chairs, hats, sunglasses, umbrella for shade. Sunscreen and get ready to have a blast!

Best of all, it is a charity event so not only is it fun your heart feels great about supporting a terrific cause. Reasonable price for all, I find this is a good value for a Pebble Beach event … and kids get in free. Grandparents like to bring the grandkids and host a “family day”.  It is a fun, diverse and positive crowd. Everyone sets up chairs and blankets at Poppy Hills with gorgeous views.

As Huckleberry Hill fans know, Poppy Hills is adjacent to my home…we have wonderful huckleberry bushes in common. This is my “home away from home” as it is really down to Earth ‘come as you are’ place to hang out. My family and I have had wonderful times there and I hope to connect with you on June 18, at glorious Poppy Hills.

Overview of Festivities: Treat caregivers, dad, grandparents or friends and family to a special afternoon. All are welcomed. Relax in iconic Pebble Beach… listen to world famous blues artists. Special guest, Pebble Beach author Maxine Carlson, will sign her new book The Wild Buck for Poppy Hills guests. Dine from the very best gourmet food trucks from the Monterey Peninsula and enjoy your favorite beverages, including Mad Otter Ale and Ketel One Vodka. Tickets include a gate pass onto 17 Mile Drive (must show event ticket). Kids under 12 are FREE. All proceeds benefit the local Monterey area youth music programs. Absolutely the best thing to do on Father’s Day Sunday!

BEST BBQ EVER…FEATURING THE GREAT WALL OF GRILL!

Executive Chef Johnny De Vivo will feature “the great wall of grill.” Treat Dad to fabulous BBQ including gilled corn and gourmet skewers.

About Chef Johnny: Porter’s is a fun fine-dining experience with Johnny De Vivo, formerly the executive chef at Casanova and La Bicyclette in Carmel. De Vivo leads a beautifully renovated restaurant at Poppy Hills that includes a panoramic view of the golf course, a reimagined menu, unique wine and drink lists, outdoor dining, fire pits and a new snack shack.

De Vivo brings an impressive culinary background to Poppy Hills, previously running the beloved La Bicyclette and Casanova, known as the “Most Romantic Restaurant in Carmel.” De Vivo got started working at his family’s restaurant Scaldoni’s in St. George, Utah, where he was also the private chef for Julius “Dr. J” Erving. De Vivo shares, “I’m ready for the challenge to create something new, farm-to-table. It’s going to be street-style food, but contemporary with reason and thought behind every dish. Casanova and La Bicyclette already had phenomenal names. To come in and create something on my own is very exciting.”
