‘Share the stoke’ at a local’s favorite hang-out, a wonderful white sand beach at Stillwater Cove, along the 17 Mile Drive. Of the many neighborhood beaches in our area, this is our favorite in Pebble Beach. (I have had several e-mails from Huckleberry Hill fans asking for tips on a good local beach!)

Saw this cute idea on Pinterest, for sand pail lunches! Love it!

Bella Sophia learned to surf and developed a coastal stewardship awareness thanks to her many years spent surfing with the Wahine Project! Thank you Dione for empowering girls and supporting bonds and friendships. They offer a wonderful school year program, as well as summer and break, check it out at thewahineproject.org.

We also will visit Huntington Beach this summer. Another local spot with a great pier for some shade! There is a terrific Women’s Surfing History Expedition, it runs July 22-September 2! This overlaps with The U.S. Surfing Open. Details for the ‘on view’ exhibit are at huntingtonbeachartcenter.org. Hope to see you there!

Molly and Fern in the Huckleberry Hill Adventure Series, they will be featured in Carmel-by-the Sea for Book Two. ‘The Sand Castle Contest’ is the title, this second book has a lot of  surf side interactions and cool characters too.
